Forms of  social media is used in so many ways to promote many individuals and businesses. The most common way for people to market themselves is by making social networking profiles. Reason being, social networking sites are popular and easier for people to be noticed. Facebook, Myspace, and Youtube are just a few social networking sites that many use. All of them have certain similarities, but there are still amenities that separate them all from each other.

Facebook is basically an upgraded version of Myspace. Even though its the second largest, it tends to be the most popular social networking site to date. Individuals are offered an opportunity to market themselves  more than any other site. Not only does Facebook market an individual by the creation of profiles, but the photo and video sharing helps them to brand themselves as well. Myspace, used to be really popular until Facebook took over. One thing that Myspace offers and individuals still use, is Myspace music. Its a great way for upcoming artists to get their music out to the world. Youtube, offers video sharing. Because of the massive audience, many individuals are getting noticed for their Youtube videos everyday.

All of these social networking sites help a great deal to promote individuals and businesses. Even though they are all different and they promote in different ways, they share the same power of getting people noticed by millions around the world.
